DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA – Clothing optional has become a marketing trend in upscale resorts popping up across America. For a growing number of resort goers, the option of checking their clothes at the door has become an attractive way to relax and retreat.

Living Waters Spa

Living Waters Spa

Nestled in the hills overlooking Palm Springs , California is Living Waters Spa that has served the clothing optional market for over ten years. By giving its guests the option to stay nude, it thrived while other area hotels struggled in financially challenging times.

Living Waters is located in the city of Desert Hot Springs , a city renowned for nearly two dozen world class spa boutique motels and hotels that take full advantage of curative hot mineral waters delivered courtesy of a unique geological formation and the San Andreas Fault .

Desert Hot Springs is one of the few places on earth with hot natural mineral water that is free of a strong sulfur odor typical of hot mineral springs. Visitors come from around the world to the city and its boutique spa resorts consistently rank high on Trip Adviser’s list of top 10 spa motels under 50 rooms.

The Living Waters Spa tapped into the mineral water and set a trend when it became the first in the city to go clothing optional. That trend has been followed by other resorts in the Palm Springs and other Coachella Valley cities but none offer the views from Desert Hot Springs and none can claim to have the purely natural hot mineral waters found at Living Waters.

Like every hot water spa motel and hotel in the city, you will not find a pool heater on the premises. The hot water is delivered that way, hot. Water temperatures out of the ground naturally range from 120 to 160 degrees and then regulated downward to deliver a variety of perfect relaxation temperatures.

Living Waters bills itself as “more than a vacation.” Its facility is completely private. Says the hotel’s website, “You are encouraged to soak in our mineral waters au natural and enjoy this total immersion in nature. For generations Europeans have visited clothing optional spas and sunbathed nude. Americans are now realizing how relaxing nude recreation can be.”

Clothing optional resorts are not about sex. Its about be the natural experience of life.

With the highest repeat guest visits of hotels in the area, Living Waters has obviously convinced them. Living Waters Spa owner Jeff Bowman thinks of the experience as a “philosophy of our spa which is body acceptance.”

Living Waters has two hot water mineral pools, one under a covered awning and another open to the desert sky. In a desert setting that offers an amazing 335 days of sun filled skies, just relaxing by the pools is an experience. At night and coupled with the lights of Palm Springs below and the stars above creates a relaxing, carefree experience.
